About our Company
Founded in 2023, Troop Investments was built to provide an experienced and trustworthy partner, who can guide its investors through any real estate market or investment.
Our founder’s last name is 伍. As is true with many Chinese characters, there are multiple meanings for this character - one of those being “troops”.
Since it is our company’s objective to work as a collective force to invest in properties that one partner may not be able to on their own, it was natural to name the company Troop.
Our partners are able to leverage our experience and network to confidently and passively invest in our sponsored deals to grow their wealth while they focus on the things that are most important to them.

Norm Ng | Founder
About the Founder
Born in San Francisco, Norm was exposed to real estate from a young age. His mother was a residential real estate agent, and he and his brothers would accompany her to open houses on weekends throughout their childhoods.
Although he envisioned a future in real estate, he attended school for engineering. After realizing that a career in that field wasn’t where his passion lied, Norm began his real estate career in 2007, specializing in acquisitions as an Investment Associate at a private investment firm. He then transferred those skills to the brokerage side of the real estate business, helping clients in the acquisition and disposition of multi-family and retail assets..
However, during the market crash that followed the 2008 financial crisis, Norm saw a need for better operational efficiencies across the multi-family management space, so he joined BanCal Property Management in 2010 and focused his attention on helping property owners streamline operations to realize increased asset values, while helping grow the company to over 35 employees in multiple countries and increasing revenue to 8-digit levels. After honing his property operations and business management skills for almost a decade and a half in this role, Norm resigned as COO and founded Troop Investments at the beginning of 2023 with the primary focus of creating partnerships to provide hard-working, time-strapped people with the opportunity to invest in and grow wealth through real estate assets that they wouldn’t normally be able to purchase on their own.
Outside of his business, Norm enjoys traveling the world, staying active, spending quality time with his family, and volunteering for organizations that focus on providing housing and building better communities.
